Pair it with tanks and arty, although I preferred motorized infantry.

I should probably change what I write in here. -No one ever

Well you came to the right place, the forums has a section for the doctrines. Personally I run mechanized infantry with axis doctrine because of the early availability and the 15% hitpoints/damage bonus, however they are more expensive to produce. You would want to run them with units with similar speed (or like you mentioned entire stacks) they are very food heavy though so make sure you either have lots of money to purchase from the market or a solid industry to maintain this army.

Mech infantry is the way to go, especially as Axis. Personally I think Axis is the best doctrine right now. I can't beat them and I love to win as them.

I usually use a Mot. Infantry/Light Tank/Arty combo for Axis. I mostly use mech infantry when I'm playing with the allies doctorine.

Actually with Axis I don't see a reason to run mechanized when you have super boosted Motorized that is almost as good, AND is not on the Light Armor class.

This allows you to have a mix of Medium tanks (for Axis) and Motorized, so a mix of different kind of armor, that you will be able to adapt to what you meet (if you meet AT, detach the tanks. If you meet infantry, detach the motorized, if you meet a super-stack go all in).

Mechanized are outstanding for allies, though, since all the alternative (motorized, light and medium) arrive 1/2 days late.

That's true about mot infantry for Axis.

I just keep getting walloped by players using both mot and mech infantry playing as axis

Were you beaten by some 2 game account that spammed mech infantry an

i had to double check, there is no buff for mechanised outside of the usual Axis troops buff,, motorized has an extra buff alongside the usual buff of Axis

The better question is: What is the best counter for large stacks of mechanised?

I mean realistic counters. Don't suggest 100 heavy tanks or the like, please.

AT guns and attack bombers. I would never use mot or mech by itself. I would always put them in stack with med tanks and SP arties. This is where mot becomes better. it scouts (for the arties) and provides armour diversity.

A large number of HIGH LEVEL at AT guns in hills/forest (hills so they are stealthy and "surprise" your opponent). If you have high level militia (honestly you should not, but let's assume you have), you can also mix them with the AT to add HP // resilience to the stack.

High level militia is a great place filler.

Tactical bombers and SP rocket artillery will tear mech infantry to shreds, use medium tanks to protect your SP rocket artillery against a counter attack.

AT guns and attack bombers are the counters against the armoured tech tree, in other words against tanks. Mechanized infantry is as the name says the unarmoured branch. As a infantery unit it will tear appart those AT guns not to mention the weak stats of attack bombers against unarmoured units and the high AA value of mechanized infantry.

And again wrong information as written above:

"Anti Tank guns are defensive units for countering attacks by armored vehicles. They are cheap and fast to produce but they should avoid fights against unarmored targets"

"Mechanized Infantry combines the strengths of infantry with the endurance of armored vehicles. As an allrounder it can be used both in plains and cities for offensive and defensive maneuvers. It is most effective against unarmored targets."

I'm sorry teach that i didn't do homework plz don't give me detention.

But I'm sorry for suggesting that we use cheap anti armor units to counter light ARMOR. What about instead of saying things are wrong you actually tell us what you think is right

LOL, i'm not a teacher :D

In COW 1.0 Mechanized infantry was a unarmoured unit and it got deleted from the game.

In COW 1.5 Mechanized infantry is a light armour unit which is in the unarmoured tech tree which is very confusing indeed.

AT and militia would be the most cost effective counter but very unpractical due to the fact that they are slow and mechanized infantry is incredably fast. They are stealth however and could surprise Mechanized infantry.

The most practical unit is SP artillery and Medium tanks to protect them, combined with attack bombers.

I appologize

The unstoppable stacks Ive been having a real hard time stopping:

Axis unit stacks of 10:

- 2 Mech infantry

- 1 Mot infantry

- 2 Med tanks

- 3 SP artillery

- 2 SP anti-air

The last three rounds I lost to at the end (got 2nd place) were against this formidable stacks. I have no idea how to defeat it. I tried with little success against a stack of 10 (as COMINTERN)

- 2 Armored car

- 2 Heavy tank

- 3 SP rockets

- 2 SP anti-air

- 1 SP arty

And I even had 2 stacks of 10 level 4 Tac bombers patrolling...

I would finish stack of 10 but after losing almost all my bombers and heavy losses on land troops.

I tried other compositions as well but nothing was working well as what I put in my example.
