Using the information ( i ) button you can get offense/defense numbers against each class. So...

One Lvl 2 mech has 50 hitpoints and defends against heavy armor with a 4 each round ( every 30 minutes ). Also defends at a 4 against air. So you want to try to take it out in as few rounds as possible to limit damage you take. So click on the whole stack in the city and see what the total hitpoints are, and the defense against heavy armor and planes by clicking on the info button in the top right corner of the box.

In the city the mech gets a 25% bonus so ( if it's a computer player ) hitting it with air will maybe get it to leave the city and charge the air strip.

One medium lvl 5 tank has 100 hitpoints and attacks light armor with a 20. Since you are axis doctrine you get an extra hitpoints and damage numbers on top of this. So maybe 110 hitpoints and 24 strength.

One lvl 4 attack bomber attacks with a 14, and the lvl 4 tac with a 8.

So, if there are three mechs in the city, that's 150 hitpoints, so 10 lvl 4 attack bombers would get 140 hits less the home advantage, so maybe 125 and less the city defense ( bunkers ). You would receive 12 damage first round and then maybe another 7 or 8 the next round from the damaged mechs.

3 medium tanks ( 300 hitpoints ) attacking 3 mechs ( 150 hitpoints ) will battle at 60 to 12 plus 25% city bonus. Should be over in 3 rounds, and the tanks would take about 30 damage knocking them down to 270 hitpoints or about 90% efficiency. So if you had, instead 8 medium tanks you could take them out in one round, only take 12 hitpoints damage and that would come off the tanks 800 hitpoints, thus less then 2% reduction in efficiciency.

.............

I was hisistant to research mechs a couple months ago, but am kinda liking them now. In my game right now I have a couple stacks of blue print mechs.

From the info box when I click on the stack of 10 mechs and 1 armored car......

1000 hitpoints. Against infantry 235, against light armor 145, against heavy armor 115, against air 115.

And that's in the hills. Add another 25% for city or flats.

They are a force to be reckoned with. Artillery is my go to when having to deal with them.
