I would say, bomb him and go on defensive.
I always got annoyed when he said that, but to be honest heโs kinda right if you think about it
Have a good day!
He has 4 of these stacks.

You are probably doomed to be honest, but your best bet would be to nuke a province center they are close to once they move away from it (but are still in artillery range) so you can get free damage. Else-wise you die.
Get him close to the coast and bombard him with high levelled battleships
Pretty much the only plan aside of nukes
Unless he has high command, the Railroad gun isnโt going to shoot until it stops moving or it encounters troops, so take advantage of his inactive times
JASLOLY has my favourite answer, are you playing Doomsday map or something like that? or is it just a massive stack? Regardless, dxcalc.com may work
It's World at War. I have the most provinces/cities on the map and 2nd biggest economy and army, so I have the industrial base to try almost any strategy against his stacks. I just don't know how to defeat it, it's the most well rounded stack I've ever seen in this game.
Hey but, that player doesn't appear to be a noob, I'm pretty sure he won't risk a stack as slow as that to go on the coastline and even if it travels on the coast, it must get some naval protection. So you gotta watch out for that.
How about rockets? Maybe hit it with 10 level 3 rockets, since rockets can't be shot down, they will be very effective.
It will damage its AA defenses and then you could bomb it with planes.
I have another plan but that is too ridiculous and will be more costly and dangerous.
I completely agree, it is an amazing stack. Good against literally anything. Smart use of AA instead of SP AA. A great defensive stack.shoreparty wrote:

A few ideas depending what you have. First a stack like that costs a lot to build and he canโt have many of them. Spread a lot of your own raiders out under air cover to take a lot of undefended territory quickly. That slow moving stack will struggle to counter and you can wear down their economy. Another option would be stacks of SP arty and SP Rocket arty. They wonโt be able to outrun you retreating into their own territory. Another idea is to have even more regular arty and rocket arty. You might have to surround it as it can probably move fast enough on their own territory.
But as others have said, nukes may be your best counter by targeting a province center while theyโre in the blast range.
Another idea on the surrounding them train of thought; paratroopers. They would probably die obviously, but they could take the province behind them so they couldn't retreat as quickly so your non-SP arty could get plenty of shots in.
Also, not sure what the diplomatic situation is, but there's an old adage: If you can't beat them, join them. Do either of you have room in your coalition for the other? If not, do you have competent partners to go after them with together?
Great idea, but how about he advances towards your stack instead of retreating? It will be fucking brutal. However, if he is inactive at that time, then it will be really great idea. How about spreading arty? Like stacks of 10 on lets say 2 diff roads or perhaps more. This can be effective tactic and personally I've won lost battles with using arty this way.6thDragon wrote:

At the end tho, nuking a close province to the one the stack is sitting is the best idea. It comes with a drawback too, this depends on luck, since the nuke damage only has a radius 50, it might not hit the stack ( worst case scenario), so a nuke would be wasted and he would be alerted as well.
Maybe just join him.
It you can join him, do that. If you canโt join him, nuke him. If you canโt nuke him, try a mix of everything youโve read, but your chances are slim. Not zero, though.
Another ideaโฆ If he only has 4 of those stacks you may be able to convince another country to attack him? His army should be somewhat spread thin so I donโt see him beating another player if he is heavily focused on you. If there are people around, you best try to get them to attack him now that he is vulnerable.
Psychologically, I find players with a big army sometimes suddenly quit once their territory goes down, maybe if you can use the awful speed of this stack, you can focus on taking land and "trick" him into giving up on the game, it is quite far fetched though.
10 level 3 TD and 10 level 3 commandos in ambush from the forest
Armored cars would spot you and youโd be hit like any other unit.1101Pathfinder wrote:

lvl4 militia to pin enemy stack and several artie stacks with infantry for damage catch could kill them with minor own losses.
Yes, lv 4 stuff could actually work. Still, youโd need a lot or else the armored cars would just kill you anyway. Of course militia is pretty good at being numerous, thoughโฆ
Not with the stack described level 2 AC cant see level 3 TD or commandos
Just let these stacks go wherever they want to go (yes - including your capital) and take all the other land he has. In the end he will have four provinces.
You'll be pleased to see the balancing changes made by Bytro today then. Won't help you in your current game. You have to accept that you will take losses but pin the stack and then bring up lots of artillery and rocket launchers. Given the long range of the RR guns you will have to close the difference quickly and I've seen some players do this in provinces with improved infrastructure to accelerate the gap closing.
