It appears as private usually when you do this. You make a post in the forums to get people before creating a game
I created a game with pw. 6 hours later it's not on the "new games" list
Game number 2363265, "What does not kill you..."
I created it with password to limit the game to level 20 and above, to minimize newbies dropping out at the beginning. Nobody has contacted me, for the obvious reason that it's not showing up as a New Game, so how could anyone know it's there?
This is the first time I've created a passworded game; is there something I'm missing?
Thanks!

As Tarkov says a password protected game is an "unlisted" game, same as alliance matches they don't show up in the games list players will have to search for that game by number in order to join it.
It used to be that all games were listed, unless they were full. This meant that you had to sort through a hundred games to find one that was not password protected, ranked,

Thanks, both of you. I'm advertising for players now. It would be helpful if we could create games with the same options as the administrators, including level requirements to discourage early-game dropouts.
I agree, a minimum rank requirement would be good. Also, to avoid tons of created games, up the game creation rankvanyel1963 wrote:

You can only create a game every 30 days or something now afaik, either that or Bytro is being unfair to me.T-3PO wrote:

I'm aware, but there are thousands of players in Call of War, many of which are able to make games. I think they should up the minimum rank to 30, so less games will spam the feed and ones will fill up faster
That's a bit much tbh, maybe level 10?
what's the original rank? It was pretty easy for me to rank up, I'm a new player and at level thirty-one.
Minimum rank to create a game currently is level 11
Rank 11 is a nice rank, means they have played for at least a few days and aren't complete idiots, but does not handicap their ability to join a map and select any nation of their choice.
Yes, but it is very easy to get to it. Rank 15?
Well that's basically the same tbh.T-3PO wrote:

Maybe 20
Then I would feel that is too high now.T-3PO wrote:

Tbh I can't remember how quick I got there, it was what two years ago at this stage. I think new players should be able to create games relatively quickly though, just not right away.T-3PO wrote:

Yes, but there are so many games, most don't fill up completely and half of them go inactive because they're in so many others,
Ranks 20 was fairly easy to get to, I got to it in about 2 weeks. If you're active then you rank up quickly.
I suppose so, I can't call your bluff since I can't remember how long it took me, but I feel like it is too high, and it seems feelings are all that is needed to change things nowadays.T-3PO wrote:

If I may gently bring us back, it would be helpful if a moderately-elevated player (however you end up defining that) could create games with minimum level requirements to minimize dropouts. I'm on day 5 of a North American game and there are only 15 active players out of the original 50. That's absurd.
Perhaps a limit on the number of games a player can be in at once?
Or a reduction in rank as consequence of abandoning a game? Yes, there might be real-world reasons for doing so, but still...
Any thoughts on how to minimize dropouts?
I'm on an Historic World War map, and 3 of the original 23 people are active. A simple alternative, which Duck and I were discussing would be upping the minimum requirement to make games, therefor leaving less games and focusing members on a few open games, rather than a lot of games
