Inactivity - Scoring?

Q: What happens to score in game you go inactive?

OK first game ('demo') i play Russia. Start with med tank and gold. Start expanding like crazy. All players but one quit in a few days. This player doesn't go inactive but comes back every couple days and builds fortifications till all provinces at 5. Very slow process. Stops attacking, stops playing all but build forts. (i guess i got so strong so quick lots of people thought i was using gold. Heard a few comments. Nope, just increasing production all the time).

Conquer good portion of map vs AI. Getting kind of boring Opponent not really playing but won't quit. Suggest we retire. No response. Leave game. Come back a week later. Now opponent sees i have gone inactive starts attacking AIs. i leave again. Hope he gets boared and retires. Game going on for weeks.

If don't return what happens to score if he never quits and overruns whole map, maybe in a year or two?

Wondering

That player is "turtling". It's best to eliminate "turtlers" early for the very reason you're experiencing (imo) .

Depending on your game's settings, if you don't return you'll likely be considered "inactive" in 2-3 days and your country will be taken over by the AI (as you saw happening to others).

From the time you stop playing, until the time you're considered inactive, anything that happens to your country will be counted toward your statistics (if it's a "ranked" game....as per the game's description). Once you've gone inactive nothing will count against your stats.

Chances are, unless you conquer the turtler, he'll conquer you so, in that regard, your current VP total in the game won't matter.
