Define dead? It's quieter than it was during covid when everyone was stuck at home but people are still playing. Lots of inactivity, of course, as always
Is the game dead?
Activity is very little...and this is Christmas season .....
Is it really the end? Though if it's not can someone please provide some playerbase statistics to see how large is it growing or shrinking?

Here we go AGAIN. Since you are new you do not know the normal patterns of players for the game. I have been playing for 6 years and it is always slow during the holidays as people are travelling for the holidays. It is probably even slower this year since it is the 1st holiday season where there have not been wide spread Covid restrictions keeping people home for the holidays in over a year.

I think the type of player during the holidays are different. Fewer serious players as they are traveling. But I have seen a lot of what I assume are kids on break from classes with plenty of Christmas money to burn. I've seen the same pattern with games my alliance mates have joined as well. More inactives, but more with cash to spend.
When does this usually end though?6thDragon wrote:

After the New Year (tbh it might even take a couple of weeks afterwards to really get back to normal.)
