Is there any way to open diplomatic relations with an A.I. nation?
The title.
By "diplomatic relations" I mean is there any way to get them to give you right of way, share map, etc.?

You can change your status with them and overtime they change theirs to you I think.

Dave is right but i can take days sometimes and they may not always accept

It usually takes about 2-3 days. Sometimes just 1.

It depends on the map. In the normal maps it takes about 2 full days, but in the Blitzkrieg map it can take about a week.
Also, I think you can only get RoW now, and not share map.

Yeah, that is true. At the beginning of a game I turn Right of Way to all AI nations (or nations not controlled by players, which are kinda AI anyway) so I can pass through any nation I please. When I need to go to war, I just march troops into their territory and declare war. It's that simple.comrade dave wrote:

I use it to prevent anybody doing the same to me. I always post 1 militia unit in a small AI nations provinces to catch anybody trying to outflank me.
