I have won many games as Japan, and I can say that.

First, move most if not all units from the mainand to Korea and China.

Build up 3/4 naval forces.

Invade Manchukuo, China ------> Mongolia, Tibet. (Asia)

Using the naval forces, bomb HK and Macao, take them.

Use your navy to bomb Indonesia and Indochina as well. Using the infantry ststioned at your islands, take them, although Indonesia will be a trouble, your navy can take care of it.

Mass produce bombers in China, and also land units, use them and your old forces to take burna and india. Then move all your forces to the Persian border and rest of them to invade the soviets.

Mass invade persia, iraq and the middle by simultaneously landing on oman/other british colonies, use the landing forces to clear our Saudi, then go to egypt after producing forces in new cities.

After done with the soviets. Sorround Eastern Europe and invade, meanwhile use your navy to invade the phillipines, america and Australia. You got enough VPS to win.

I got 1670 vps by day 10 using this.
