Joining games/country selection

If it is random selection, there is no way. If it is free selection, you can see it in the country choosing menu. If you don’t want to join that game, you can close the tab.

I don't see any "country choosing" menu. From, New Games, I get an icon representing each available game. It shows the type of game and the number of entered players and if it is free selection. The only actions I can take are "Join" or "i". i doesn't allow me to do anything else. Thanks for your help, but it didn't answer my question.

You have to check whether it is free selection first. (Use the "i" button) If it is click join, then follow my instructions.

You make my point. You say "Join", then choose your Country. If I don't care for the country choices available, do I just take one anyway or not play? I should be committed when I hit "Join". The order seems backward.

Maybe I'm thinking about this the wrong way. If I "Join" and then don't select a country, have I messed up the game and do I have a "quit" on my record. I take pride in not quitting a game I've joined.

Click the i; this has information such as selection type, peace periods, supply drops enabled, etc. On browser (maybe mobile too, IDK) you can also click the section options drop down and filter so that you only get games with your preferred selection type. If you join a free selection game but don't actually select a country the game will be removed from your roster in 30 minutes.

once you join a game and the country you want is alreay taken, just close the tab. and you wont join thegame and will be able to join another game

I just hit "Play Now" and a country selection panel popped up. It had 2 choices, but no explanation of what kind of game it was. I didn't do anything else and got the following message: You are inactive in game ........ because you have not .....

Is this where I just ignore this for 30 min and it goes away?

OK. I'm just being too careful. Thanks. I don't like all the players quitting and don't want to be one of them.
