Killing AA regiments in cities

I've been playing COW for six months, and I believe I've learned most of the tricks to deal with particular types of enemy units and minimize my own casualties, but one thing still drives me bananas: AA regiments in urban environments. AA units seem to be tougher to kill than their unit spec sheet would indicate, and they always seem to inflict disproportionate damage to whatever type of unit you use to attack them, whether you use tanks, infantry or AT units. The only zero casualty solution (apart from dropping a couple rockets on them) I have found is shelling them with an artillery battery of 4 or 5 regiments. Does anyone else have a better solution for killing AA units?

The Unit Spec Sheets might not be correct? Or have anything whatever to do with the actual battle resolution calculations? Who would dare suggest that?

I don't know, Wayne. I just know they seem to be far tougher to kill with ground units than other non-powered armor unit types, such as towed artillery and anti-tank regiments, all of which have 10 hit points like AA regiments. I learned early in my first game six months ago not to attack an AA regiment with an armored car brigade -- my 100% AC brigade got mauled, and the AA unit survived. That was the primary reason I started reading the details on the unit spec sheets in the first place.

One other way to kill AA regiments is with a single direct attack by a large stack (10+) of higher level (L4+) tactical bombers. You can usually kill an AA regiment on a single sortie that way, but of course the AA unit will exact a few hit points from your TB wing too. The worst and most expensive way to kill AA units is with repeated sorties by a single bomber squadron or a small wing, so that the AA unit will exact its hit-point price from the bombers on every sortie.
