Linking game account to forum account

I'm trying to link my COW account with this forum account, or at least get the same rank as mine in-game. Currently in the game, I am a technician fourth grade, but my account on the forum shows me as a recruit. I have seen people on forums with "general" or "lieutenant colonel" ranks and I was wondering how I could get my rank on my profile.
