AT if you are comintern or pan asian, TDs if allied. Attack bombers if axis.

RRG are universal. You can also use battleships and cruisers if they’re close to land.
But if it’s just 1 medium tank, just use a random 10 stack without light armour

There isn't a "universal" best counter, since doctrine, terrain and starting resources affect this drastically. In general, you don't wanna use MTs to attack MTs, and HTs are kinda slow to attack MTs. ATs are a good static defense, and prolly the best is either artillery (all variants) and ABs.-BLOOP- wrote:

If you need a melee counter on the ground, tank destroyers are by far the best unit. Ranged units like artillery or railroad guns are best in the end, but in a melee TDs are best.
ATs can work but are far more vulnerable to damage from unarmoured units, light armoured units, and from the medium tanks themselves. Not to mention they have a lot less HP. The biggest problem is their mobility sucks so medium tanks can often go around.
