Hello, just started playing with the game yesterday and well... love at first sight. I could figure many aspects of the game with ease, however I found great difficulty finding a way to increase morale in provinces, cities and units without paying gold for it. Could you shovel me to the right direction with a hint&tip or two - I would be glad!
Build literally anything except air bases, reactors and barracks, that will increase morale. Alternatively, leave troops there until it stops smoking and just leave it!

You can raise morale of the units by keeping them out of combat in one of your provinces.
Morale of a province will raise automatically at daychange as long as you manage to fill their daily consumption. To check that and its morale trend, just select the province then the information buttons next to Morale and Productivity per day.
Only Fortifications raise morale.Butter Ball Bill wrote:

No problem.
Morale will increase slowly over time, so if you don't have the resources for forts, just wait, and in a few days it will be at 100%
