Motorized Infantry

What doctrines are motorized infantry most effective in?

Axis

Comintern

Axis by far. I never build them with other doctrines. They will cost 10% more, but will be 15% faster, do 15% more damage to light and heavy armor units, 30% more to unarmored, and have 15% more HP. Plus you can access advanced levels earlier.

Commies would just be able to build them cheaper. They take a while to build, so allied could have some advantages but that would be offset my the allied speed decrease, which is one of the primary advantages of mot inf.

Axis and Allies.

yes I agree although not as efficient as for axis Motorized infantry is still pretty good for allies. And MUCH better than allies' mechanised infantry.

These units fill different roles, making them difficult to compare.

Mot Inf is a fast scouting unit that can attack soft targets in the early game, but is too fragile to use in a front line role.

Mech Inf is a tough, mid to late game, front line unit. No scouting bonuses in terms of range, speed, or stealth discovery.

Comparing them is like comparing armored cars and medium tanks, or destroyers and battleships.

You are totally right I should not have compared both, not to mention one is balanced Offense Defense not the other.
