Motorized infantry Vs ACs as axis for LAND SOCUTING

In other doctrines I just use the only option: ACs.....I don't build more than 10 of them all around the game as they are for scouting and land grabbing but not combat mostly......

However with axis I do get a choice..motorized infantry or ACs...

I am inclined to get a couple motorised infantry as axis but we already get two ACs in the beginning who would be neglected....

What do you all think?

Every time I go the mot.inf road (and yeah I do so every once in a while) I'm disappointed... they are so fragile!
that’s why you pair them with medium tanks in axis. Trust me it’s good, try it……
“Trust is good, but control is better” , to deal with the issues of marxism, his follow ups proposed this ;) But no, even if paired with medium tanks or any other unit I fail to see how it can become better? some damage sharing, sure, but they still die fast.
you never tried it, so how do you know it’s not good?
I did, look at my first post, knowing that they are fragile, and knowing how to eventually fitting them in a a steel heavy economy is worth a try you should have deducted that I did do that,... and it was not a superb experience.
is axis you’ve got to go with med tank and mot infantry combo, you never produce more than 4 armoured cars.

For me it’s a superb experience

If you want solo scout units the AC is the more effective route to go, it has the BEST defensive stats in the game with the increased view range of a scout unit.

On the other hand, the main reason to use MI as axis is that they can be researched and built on day 1, to have a unit with the attack stats of MI so early is the best reason to use them in the EARLY game. Also like any other unit you attack with you do not use alone or as the only unit type. As Axis I usually build 2 Barracks and 2 Tank factories, once I can build the MI both barracks are knocking them out as fast as I can, while my tank factories are building LTs for use against light armor units like ACs. I prefer to use 6 MI with 4 LTs as an attack stack and will have this by day 2 but I will use them sooner and in a smaller stack if needed or split into 4 groups advancing within supporting range of each other. By mid game I will usually transition over to Mech Inf but still inc 2 MI as scout units. I also use to them speed cap enemy provinces if open so the rest of the stack can follow on at increased speed or as flankers attacking empty provinces. By mid game I consider them an expendable unit as they are somewhat fragile but still are good at killing enemy unarmored units esp if level up to 2 or 3.

idk… but i prefer star with motorized infantry and focus on economy at start then i switch to mechanised infantry and medium tanks

I always wish I had more motor infantry later in game but at low levels they are quick to produce in captured cities. Just getting the infantry I start the game with upgraded and desire for a commando force, plus navy, plus rocket artillery leaves me struggling for food resources. The armor car spreads the resource needs out a little more and it is so much quicker to upgrade. The armor car is still pretty good at taking on infantry, better then the light tank and better at handling those tac bombers. Can't build everything.

Pumping out Axis AC's on days 1/2 usually works well for me in quickly taking over my neighbour. With a sufficient airforce in the following days then AC's form the bulk of my land grabbers
