Motorized vs Mechanized Infantry

raw stats its not all.

At least for me every units should play a role in my army composition, mech infantry just come too late for me and take a lot of time to build, needing lvl 3 barracks for lvl 1, its simply easy just spam motorized early, then just upgrade when it comes the next lvl instead of transition to mechanized infantry.

But honestly their stats are soo good, also fullfill 2 roles just need research 1 tree instead of 2 for cover those roles.

Soo if want to go for them its ok, but at least for me i do prefer units more spamable early and then upgrade them when its avaliable, the jump in your power for upgrade your units is greater than transition to a stronger units but requiere to produce them 1 by 1

That’s true. They are 100% better used in the mid to late game. Early on they can just weigh you down as they take damage.

I am a rather new player..... but from my experience.... motor infantry are good for early expansion and killing off inexperienced players.... but after about day 6.... they become cannon fodder....due to experienced players bringing tactical bombers and mechanized armor. Motor Infantry is the first to die when large stacks meet on the battlefield. I prefer to spend on units that will matter on day 12.... I may not expand quickly but when I arrive on your border.... those motor infantry are worthless.....

They're not necessarily "worthless", they're just less efficient. No-one here is arguing that mot inf is obsolete by any standard; its just less economical (at least according to @z00mz00m knowledge, which mirrors my own.)

Melee units in general are more activity-friendly (meaning you don't need to log in every 10 minutes to check your game) but more expensive in the long run.

Completely agree.

The 1 must-have unit in every game is a scout unit. Something fast, with a large scouting radius, and with the ability to find stealth units. There are only 2 choices: AC and MI.

1. AC has no research dependency and it can be built 30 minutes after the game starts. MI takes longer. Also, MI depends on regular infantry, a unit you don't always want to research right away.

2. AC is a precondition to all tanks, so in many cases, you have to research it anyway. MI can be skipped entirely, unless you need Mech Inf later.... but you can do that later.

3. AC has nice anti-air defense, making it harder to kill from the air. Tactical bombers eat MI for breakfast.

4. AC is more forgiving, because if the enemy finds your AC while you're offline, its defensive stats, light armor class, and higher HP all mean it's more likely to survive. An MI caught in the open while you're offline is basically dead. Even an AI infantry can kill an MI if it's less than 100% HP or if it's caught in rough terrain.

These points make it very difficult to choose MI over AC for scouting. Once you make the the decision to use AC for scouting, there's even less reason to research and build MI. Its main purpose is gone. Now it's just a front line unit. There are many better choices for that role.

When you're Axis, the one thing going for mot.inf over AC as a scout unit is that they're even faster.

As Germany in HWW I tend to spam mot inf. the damage buff to axis helps too, and as world powers in HWW you don’t really have to spend food and goods on recruiting stations.
Have a blessed day <3
