Multi-accounts and due process

I am currently being wrongly accused and am curious about what kind of safeguards your well-intentioned witch hunt of multi accounts has against wrongful conviction.

I see lots of talk about immediate an meaningful action against "cheats" but I don't see anything about being allowed a defence to the charge before conviction.

Additionally, you (the CoW staff) may want to consider the unintended byproduct of this witch hunt. I am now being bullied anonymously by my accuser in the game in question and am no longer enjoying the game experience. You've let loose the vigilantes at the expense of player enjoyment. No one enjoys being harassed.

Anyway, I'd love an answer to the above.

I've been away from CoW for the last 6 months but returned after numerous emails from the game asking me to return. I came back and even brought a friend with me (what I presumed CoW would find to be a good thing) but am now regretting the decision.

I am more than happy to provide additional details at your request but assure you I will not return again if I find I have been unjustly removed from a game.

To clarify the issue for those who may reading and wondering "What the..."?

I returned to CoW last weekend and a friend made an account from my computer.

He and I started a 2 player game (settings at 2 so there would be no other players) so I could show him how to play the game. This was done with the second computer at my home (presumably the same ip I play from with my main computer - router connected). He logged in to this game again briefly (seconds) from my home on Sunday to maintain his "active" status in our 2 player game since he had not yet returned home. Since then every single login from his account has been from his home computer. This would be for our 2 player game (still ongoing) and 2 new games we started last night (plus of course whatever other games he may have joined that I am unaware of).

A check of the current game we are playing and in whch the accusation arose will clearly show two separate ip's for the two of us. This does not concern me. A check going back to the creation of the account (1 week ago) will show the above.

This happens when more than one account operates on the same Wi-Fi. At the time this was introduced, I received a message saying my account would be deleted if I didn't justify, blah blah, and a simple message explaining was enough. Best of luck

PS. Do try sending a message to the support though

Why are we reviving a dead thread from over 7 months ago? A lot has changed in the intervening time. If anyone is still having continuing problems with the multi-account rules in the present environment, let's discuss where we are, not where we were.

There is a certain Multi-Account user on game 1978995 on the 100 Player Map South Africa took over nearly all of Africa in Day 6 with 1 Unit. I have reported him with no response.

Reports are handled in the same order they are received. Sadly, there is a running queue of tickets, and they each take time to work. In due time, each ticket is answered.

Free Time looks good on me
