"It's a gaim. Why u heff to be mad?"
Who needs realism when you can have pirates instead?
Even after an defeated nation has been totally absorbed, I see that the naval units of the defeated nation continue to fight on. Is there a reason for this? I do not recall many instances of this happening in the Real World; in fact, the turn over of surviving air and naval forces to the victor is usually a part of the end game in war. Even if a naval force "goes rogue" and continues the fight, it would not take long before supplies and fuel would fail, degrading the units combat performance greatly. In the game, this does not occur; the naval units actually regain health and combat power. Is there a logic to this game feature? Thank you.

@omnisxiii2, you owe me a new keyboard because I just spit my coffee all over my computer I was laughing so hard.omnisxiii2 wrote:

Perhaps the pirate flagship could be crewed by tiny little icons of Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley? Or Errol Flynn? And your suggestion would certainly be consistent with the historical basis for your air force accidentally and repeatedly dropping crates full of advanced weapons plans into neighboring countries . . . .
Ground units after the war is over should stay bc civilians can support them as they move.
However, the naval units would run out of gas to even move anywhere. Iv'e seen A french boat in the UK long after the victory against the French. How can they keep moving after so long? Daily upkeep would run out instantly, bc there is no more oil. and the boats would have used all of theirs up.
Even more absurd, 10 Irish destroyers off the coast of southern Italy, Irish capitol still intact, but the rest of Ireland has been captured!
It's an Irish-American Catholic thing. Irish guys always hanging around Italian girls, looking for a girlfriend or wife.WayneBo wrote:

And, as if IRELAND has a NAVY, let alone DESTROYERS. The real thing is like a couple of Boston Whalers with used 30 cals. bought surplus from the British. LOL
After finishing off Canada, I found a Canadian submarine hiding in the Great Lakes. As I did not plan to place naval units there, I left it for the remaining 16 days of that game, but it never lost any strength. It must have been supplied with fuel and food by locals during the hours of darkness...
Nah, it's just that Canada probably had some large oil reserves left, and because the oil consumption was only the sub's, it could probably last for real life months before running out.rickmcq wrote:

Gee whiz, you might not understand how to play the game when . . . you build a submarine for Lake Michigan.rickmcq wrote:
