New Maps for CoW

I was thinking today about some new maps that could be added sometime to Call of War. An Operation Barbarossa map would be like the Mediterranean map, 4 players, probably the Soviet Union, Germany, Finland, and Romania. Just a thought. My second thought was a Pacific/Asia map, and I know this has been requested LOADS of times, but maybe Australia, the USSR, the US, Britain, Japan, China (and a small AI country called Communist China), Canada, who knows. Maybe even Tibet. The only problem is when it should be set in; in 1942 Japan is too strong, in 1939 it is still too strong, and in 1933 maybe it hasn't even invaded Manchuria yet... there are a lot of options. My final thought is a Modern Warfare map, where countries are just as they are today. That means the Balkan peninsula would be a slaughterhouse of countries; early on, strong countries could just rip through the Balkans and basically rule unopposed. There might need to be a kind of nerf for that. And possibly AI countries that historically hate each other go to war more often than usual... Lots of coding, but it would be amazing.

Let's! First thread, revived!

I am much more experienced in Forum dealings and Call of War in general by now, and I thought I'd like to bring up some new ideas for some new maps.

  1. Operation Overlord! Canada, Great Britain, Free France, and USA against German forces: has all of England, all of Ireland, all of France (under German occupation), Benelux countries (under German occupation).
  2. Operation Barbarossa; Like I stated earlier.
  3. Operation Torch; USA, Great Britain, and Free France against Vichy France and Italy: has all of North Africa (including Tangier and Melilla) and maybe expand south a little bit, possibly down to modern-day Senegal. Very flexible borders for this one.
  4. Operation Unthinkable. Yes, that's right. Norway, UK, USA, France, Italy, Denmark, Luxembourg, Austria (Allied occupied part, anyway), Belgium, Greece, and the Netherlands against Soviet Union, Roumania, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Albania, Hungary, Poland, and Soviet occupied Austria. Now, this one is an interesting one: Most of these countries are small ones that can not be controlled by a player, yet were aligned with their respective blocs that I stated above. Should we let players play as these countries? Or let the countries come with Elite AI and have them run themselves, on their respective teams? And should Finland, Sweden, Portugal, Spain, and (:P) Andorra be on a neutral team?
Well, that's my long entry in a misplaced forum for today.

Operation Barbarossa is what m excited for, but it might be a bit weak without a weather feature. And with the nations you listed,it'd be 3 v 1?

"A knight cannot save the world. They call certain methods of fighting good and others evil, acting as if there were some nobility to the battlefield."
"Honor? Glory? There's no point in speaking to a killer who indulges in such nonsense."

The problem with those maps is that they ain't particularly big, and there not so many players. personally, I think Barbarossa and Unthinkable are a great idea, especially the latter. The latter would be like total war, and I'd love it.

More like 4 vs 1 (Hungary, Romania, Germany and Finland vs USSR), but give the USSR a massive number of low-level troops to start with, and lots of industrial capability.
The past is a foreign country.

I perfer wide open maps, where the course is not set, and anything can happen

in other words I want a world map

and badly
