I was thinking today about some new maps that could be added sometime to Call of War. An Operation Barbarossa map would be like the Mediterranean map, 4 players, probably the Soviet Union, Germany, Finland, and Romania. Just a thought. My second thought was a Pacific/Asia map, and I know this has been requested LOADS of times, but maybe Australia, the USSR, the US, Britain, Japan, China (and a small AI country called Communist China), Canada, who knows. Maybe even Tibet. The only problem is when it should be set in; in 1942 Japan is too strong, in 1939 it is still too strong, and in 1933 maybe it hasn't even invaded Manchuria yet... there are a lot of options. My final thought is a Modern Warfare map, where countries are just as they are today. That means the Balkan peninsula would be a slaughterhouse of countries; early on, strong countries could just rip through the Balkans and basically rule unopposed. There might need to be a kind of nerf for that. And possibly AI countries that historically hate each other go to war more often than usual... Lots of coding, but it would be amazing.

Exactly! As you said, world map is perfect. But Barbarossa and Unthinkable are great, the latter because there are so many countries.oceanhawk wrote:

I'd like a 1v1 Japan vs. America map. Preferably with only a few starting troops. Not like the med map where everything is built up and in position, but also not like the default 10 player Europe map where you have hardly anything.
It's a cool idea. But before that, the Asian map has to come.
The America vs Japan could possibly be the Philippines land mass. instead of a downsized Asia map.

I like that idea, a few Islands dotted around to provide that bit of strategic play because then you don't have to just raid each other's coastline you need to control islands to have "Eyes" if you would.
To set up air and naval bases. This would make air and navy forces probably around 5x more important, and for navies, probably even more. I, for one, rarely build up a navy unless my opponent has a large one, so a Pacific map would make the need for new strategies and new methods alike.
In the 1932 map the only real people who need navies are USA and GB as all the other countries are joined onto Europe so it would provide a better naval experience.

You'll need more justification than that if you want a Philippines map.
A Pacific War will need China, CCCP, Japan, Indo-China, India, Philippines, Australia, the Pacific Islands, Alaska and the West Coast of North America and Mexico. Anything less and it is not a World War !
And also a new line of ships - Aircraft Carriers with Ship-based Fighters and Ship-based Bombers
