New Maps for CoW

I was thinking today about some new maps that could be added sometime to Call of War. An Operation Barbarossa map would be like the Mediterranean map, 4 players, probably the Soviet Union, Germany, Finland, and Romania. Just a thought. My second thought was a Pacific/Asia map, and I know this has been requested LOADS of times, but maybe Australia, the USSR, the US, Britain, Japan, China (and a small AI country called Communist China), Canada, who knows. Maybe even Tibet. The only problem is when it should be set in; in 1942 Japan is too strong, in 1939 it is still too strong, and in 1933 maybe it hasn't even invaded Manchuria yet... there are a lot of options. My final thought is a Modern Warfare map, where countries are just as they are today. That means the Balkan peninsula would be a slaughterhouse of countries; early on, strong countries could just rip through the Balkans and basically rule unopposed. There might need to be a kind of nerf for that. And possibly AI countries that historically hate each other go to war more often than usual... Lots of coding, but it would be amazing.

actually now that I think about it, a philippines map would make more sense, since there is nothing to incentivize island hopping in this game. You could just sail straight from America to Japan which would be lame.

I think roleplayers would have a fun time with the new map especially now that I think about it.

Well, what would incentivise island-hopping? If we figured that out, a Pacific map would be simply amazing.

You have to replenish naval ships? but that might make the game more intricate.

WORLD MAP IS OUT!

The past is a foreign country.

People say it isn't working, I don't get it though mine works perfectly.

It is fairly inaccurate, but who cares? Playing a game as the Caribbean right now.

I'm California. Salbalkus's army spawned mostly in Africa and he's the Philippines!

LOL how?!

I'm not to sure, in the WH people were complaining about army units spawning in goofy locations, I was unscathed but those less fortunate folk are really vulnerable right now.

Yeah, I'm fine right now. Although someone playing who is my ally only speaks German, so I have to use a combination of High School German and Google Translate to make out what he is saying. XD

Lol, I found members of the forum army in my game and promptly teamed up. If your in mine perhaps we can team up too?

I am on 1,257,662. I don't think we're on the same one.

Maybe not.

I think I know what could make island hopping worthwhile: radars.

So island hopping incentives

Radar, needs more explaining, maybe you could think of how to make it possible Pizza?

A range on ships, whether it be naval or transport, maybe ships need so long at a harbour to be back at full fuel?

A barrier stopping you from sending troops and surface ships to the other player's country? This barrier disappears for the player who has control of the islands and he can attack his opposite number's country?

I'll think later. I have Algebra to do right now. xD

Radar could have a range of X by X (upgradable by level of building) that would reveal any enemy ships, airplanes, convoys, et cetera. Would incentivise island-hopping so that radars could see any enemy units coming near you.
