I'm pretty sure it's just the manpower count, just like the casualties in the articles.

Newspaper army strength
Every day the newspaper reports game statistics, once every couple of days comparable army strengths. Do these army strength numbers reflect the impact of technology or just sheer number of units (or different)?

No its not just manpower count. Its actually based on army strength. I had this ally that had much more units than me. Yet, I was still the most powerful.

Yes, it does reflect tech. For example, nukes are worth a lot when it comes to army strength.Bluemoon63 wrote:
