Nuclear Plane - Anti air damage

I knew as planes cant give damage if you have enough anti air damage but they gave

Did it attack your stack directly, or did it perhaps attack something nearby (a province center, another player's units, etc)?

See:

If the nuke attacks ur stack directly it will be shot down as ur anti air damage is too high

but if it strike a nearby weaker unit/nearby province/patrolling airplane while keeping ur main stack in red circle, u will be damaged
