The nuclear rocket will be a separate unit than the lvl 4 rockets.

Nuclear Rockets
When 'Nuclear Rocket' research is complete, does it upgrade all of your existing rockets, or just enable production of the new type?

Units automatically upgrade only if they are along the same line in the Research tech tree. Rockets are along one line and Nuclear Rockets are along another; that's why researching Nuclear Rockets doesn't upgrade Rockets.Dambek wrote:
