Nuke Mechanics

I just want to get clarification on this, if I send a nuke bomber to attack a small stack of 1-2 units, and there is a much larger stack of 10 units within blast range, will the AA value of the larger stack be applied to the nuke? Will it be able to shoot the nuke down even though the small stack can't?
