In my opinion if you don't have a lot of planes you should always put AA with any large stack, unless you have a few fast units you want to use to get territory fast.

Observation with stack armies
Stack armies are good but 20 unit stack is rather impractical. They can absorb and deal a lot of damage but artillery bombardment and air attacks can sap their HP. Also four 5 stack armies can cover a lot of territory especially if they are fast units. My question is this, how do you stack your armies?
Second is my formula of stack armies correct?
Artillery Division = SP artillery + Mechanized Infantry + Tank Destroyer
Maneuver Army = Light Tank + Motorized Infantry
Anti-Ground Balanced Army = Medium Tank + Mechanized Infantry + SP Anti-Air
Defensive Army = Infantry + Anti-Air/Tank/Artillery

well, that’s your formula, but my recommendation is
atry stack: more and more SP arty
Maneuver: light tanks and SP anti air and high level motorised and mechanised infantry
Anti ground: level 6 medium tanks, level 4 light tanks And some air or naval bombs for u to clear the path and also some commandos
Assuming u r not facing the sea like if u r in America, u must at least have air covering.
Get a ton of tac. Bombers to kill the infantry
(If it’s 1.5, even better. Get both the Attack bomber and the tac. Bomber to Attack, clearing the way of infantry and heavy armoured vehicles)
Defence: anything that says infantry in the unit name, a few matildas will be good, any thing that says anti in it, some heavy tanks.
