Pacific Conquest: Borneo Playthrough Day 5

Hello everyone! I am back with another guide, this time for Borneo. Before I start, I'll point out that this guide can also apply reasonably well to Borneo in (Speed) World at War.

I admittedly joined this game as a joke, just with the idea to quit it later. I'm happy I didn't though.

I sent a message to Papua New Guinea, Philipines and Sumatra for friendship and co-operation and applied for the ASEAN coalition under Siam. By the time I returned to check on the game, I had received messages from the above and was accepted into ASEAN. By the time I'm writing this on Day 5 (only 30 minutes left for day 6 to start) and Sumatra has went inactive and has been replaced by Guinea.

2] Economy

I had a terrible economy at the start, just like all other nations. I built industries in my core cities, right now Menado is industry-less as I have a large stock of Rare Materials (about 15k now) which I am depleting now by getting some aircraft. I have almost 400 of all resources by now with the sore thumb of rare materials at 330/hour.

3] Research

I researched a lot of things, starting with Infantry tech:

Militia Level 2 and Infantry Level 3

Ordnance: Artillery Level 2

Tank: Armored Car Level 2, Light Tank Level 1

Air: Interceptor Level 3, Tactical Bomber Level 1 (Level 2 in progress), Naval Bomber Level 2

Naval: Destroyer Level 1, Cruiser Level 1, Battleship Level 1 (Level 2 in progress)

4] Warfare

I saved the best for last!

On the first day I invaded Brunei, but my troops (especially infantry) were rather damaged, with one stack of 3 infantry damaged more than halfway through. Having allies nearby allowed me to make battleships, send them to the Maluku Islands and destroy the garrison stationed there. Using the battleships I destroyed Nusa Tenggara, firstly I bombarded Dili and Kupang, emptied them of enemy armies and sent occupation forces to Dili, Kupang, and also the capital of Ende which was surprisingly empty. However due to which devil  I don't know, it got destroyed in Ende. I took the remaining provinces easily. Now Sumatra went inactive and using my tremendous fleet (for some of you this might not be impressive, but for me it sure is) of 9 battleships, 6 cruisers and 2 destroyers (+1 destroyer being produced) I destroyed a Battleship, a Naval bomber is on the ropes, and the stack at Soerabaja is doomed. I will take Java first, then Sumatra.

I can't upload images. This is the game link for those who want to see (click on 'This')

Day 7:

I have almost 500 of all resources now. I invaded Sumatra completely except for the farthest province to the west and Sumatra-occupied British Malaya. South West Australia and Queensland are inactive, Philipines seems to be inactive, and Siam also turned AI. Now I and Guinea will merge with Australia and become more powerful. I sent a single infantry to Tokyo, Hiroshima and Nagasaki as Philipines hadn't.
