have any of you had a chance to do battle with the paratroopers, if so what is the best way to defend against them in your humble opinion of course, I have not played a game with paratroopers in them yet, just wondering as it seems crazy that possibly on day 3 they could be attacking and you have no idea what to use against them
Keep a commando or a motorized infantry in your core cities, have a couple of medium tanks on standby in your core province. In most cases they will try to jump in your core provinces.
The transport planes are weak and can be easily shot down by interceptors. Tactical bombers are great to deploy fast to attack paratroopers behind your lines.

I have heard that AA are pretty good, at least to do some initial big damage.
Of course, Day 13 is more realistic (research, build airbase Lvl3, transfer, etc.). And I seriously doubt if it is anywhere near to efficient strategy to do that.
Paratroopers can only start to be researched at day 8, the building requirements are high and can only be produced in the capital one at a time. It is unlikely that anyone will use a paratrooper to attack you before day 12.patriota75 wrote:

It is theoretically possible that paratroopers could be ready to use at the very earliest on day 10 with upgraded buildings and such, and on day 8 with gold.
An attack by a fighter, or an AA unit over the paratroopers intended target, should destroy paratroopers before they land.
