My opponent and I agreed to make peace while two of our regiments were engaged in battle. The peace shows up in the Information screen and when I click on my opponent's territory. But our forces are still hitting each other. When will they stop? We want to give peace a chance!

When units occupy the same location peace will automatically change to war, so returning to peace will simply allow the units to cause war again.
You will need to temporarily share right of way in order to separate the units by at least 5 km before returning to peace.
