Planes move in convoys to carriers???

So how many of you guys knew that planes can move in convoys to board carriers? This is big news to me, I thought the planes couldn't board via sea transport. This would've saved me some time actually, but the wording in the screenshot is a bit vague. Maybe its only talking about land convoys?
