Population

Does population have any real effect on the game??

No, It really doesnt. But there is manpower if that's what you're asking? they do

If population has no effect then why is it in the info buttons on provinces

It's also highly innacurate. Metropolises like London have a lower population than hamlets in the australian outback.

When I click around some of my maps, there is a clear, linear relationship between population and manpower (and morale).

Yeah but even so that still has no effect or importance

“I do not love the sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior. I love only that which they defend.”

Dude.

Population determines the number of "men" who can provide "man power".

It doesn't get any simpler than that.

Ye byt no effect at all

“I do not love the sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior. I love only that which they defend.”

why have a population meter when manpower is shown directly is what GrandEmpire is trying to say

Population only relates to manpower in CoW Classic. In CoW1.5 population is of no significance since all resource values are set independently from it, and we will probably also not show it anymore in future iterations of the interface.

Population has no real affect but it's there

But why

“I do not love the sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior. I love only that which they defend.”
“If you win, you need not explain!”

No wait it does. But not the number of people

Comrade genz| Master of Forum Major General

Morale is a thing based on people . Low morale= people are not happy in province area. And low morale means people are not happy the result is revolts.

yeah but the pop info is useless

“I do not love the sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior. I love only that which they defend.”
“If you win, you need not explain!”

yes

if it grew, or took casualties it would make sense but it dosnt

“I do not love the sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior. I love only that which they defend.”
“If you win, you need not explain!”
