Push Notifications?

Through the Call of War iPhone app, is it possible to get push notifications of things like an enemy unit crossing into territory you control, a loss or winning of a province, units destroyed, declaration of war or peace, etc.?

Some of those things are available as a push notification.

Province lost or captured army lost, nuclear attack, research completed, and war declared are all available.

Nothing for enemy approaching, and of course you can be attacked without an enemy declaring war first, so that isn't foolproof.

I've got all the push notifications in the phone app activated, but they only come up in the app itself. I was hoping it would come up on the front screen of my phone, like when I get a Facebook notification.

They do for me.

I wonder if you have to go into your phone permissions and allow it to display notifications on your lock/home screen.

Would it be too much to ask you to walk me through it?

On the main screen of the app the menu in the lower right corner will allow you to select which notifications you get.

Then in my iPhone I went to Settings > Notifications > Call of War and switched it to: allow notifications, and enabled all the notification types and sounds.

You also can choose which style when unlocked. Alert type notifications have to be closed, banners appear and then vanish, or can be set to "none" also

Did your first step above, no problem. But on my phone under "notifications," CoW does not appear.

However, further down in my "settings" CoW does appear. I click on that and two icons appear. One is just "cellular data," turned on. The other is "Search and Siri Suggestions." I click on that, and it says, "Allow information form Call of War to appear in Search. Siri may learn from and make suggestions based on how you use this app."

Which I don't think has anything to do with push notifications.

Which version of iOS are you using?

Apparently iOS 11 handles notifications a little differently than prior versions. You may have to serach specifically about notifications on your device.
