Question about multiple users using the same IP

Hello, I have a question about multiple people using the same IP. I have a friend who on occasion comes to my house and we play games. Recently he picked up Call of War and we have a couple games together. I know that there is a rule against using multiple accounts in the same game and I was wondering if me and my friend playing from the same IP could be misunderstood as me using multiple accounts. If my friend comes over and plays in the same game with me, from the same IP address, will we get banned?

Not necessarily, the information that is used to determine whether or not you are using multiple accounts is based on more than just IP alone.

I have had several people in my house playing and have not received any ban or warning, however we were not playing in the same game so probably not relevant to your question

Not playing in the same game is the best option. Next, you can play with the same IP, in the same game, given you are in a game in which anti cheat has been turned off (in advanced settings). Outside of that, you can speak to @Dr. Leipreachan about the possibility of other options.

Well, I already went ahead and did it. Should we receive any kind of penalty that would be very unfortunate. If our IPs were to be monitored over a long period of time it should be very clear that we are 2 different people. Hopefully we are safe.

If you play with someone on the same ip, you would want to get whitelisted so that the staff knows you're not a multi account, to get that you should speak to @Dr.leipreachΓ‘n about it

One of the members on our team also had the same problem as his son played COW aswell. It ended in serious angry exchanged between mod and Player. They need to create a whitelist.

They also need to make account sharing a Cheat offence not whitelisting.

Finally the DEVs need to improve the phone APP so players can split troops and perform the essential function required in game such as an alliance match. Alliance matches are very demanding and it improving the APP would make COW a much more popular and competitive game.

The mobile version is still being worked on and bettered. However, that is another topic.

As far as multis, the Game Operators are skilled in separating actual multis from players that simply live in the same household. Whitelisting is possible, but you must approach the SGO to have you case looked at by him, and proving you are different people is difficult.

As of now: Only sharing same maps with people in your household if you are doing so in games with anti-cheat turned off is effective in playing with family members. You can play in multiple rounds, so if you wish to play in an anti-cheat-off round with your child/sibling/parent, and an anti-cheat enabled round with other players, that is your best option.
