I have level 6 subs, but I am still getting bombed by Level 3 Navy Bombers? I was under the impression the Navy Bombers needed to be Level 6 or Higher?

Is being close to the enemy shore the cause?
Not as far as I know. They would need to scout you somehow, with a level 6 scout that can scout subs or spy intel. If you have other units with or near your subs the subs will take damage if the other units are hit.cryptic.myst wrote:

Is it possible that your subs were scouted before? Because if they were, and the NB's were set to attack at that time, they will never "forget" where you went and come after you, even changing bases to do so. That can only work for direct attacks though; if they're patrolling, something else is going on.

No for the same reason a militia does take damage from patrolling tac bombers without either a spotter or the militia operating in planes. The unit needs to be able to see the target in order to deal damage.DxC wrote:

Ok. I wasn't sure about that because invisible stealth units do take damage when stacked with visible units that are hit. I assume they also take splash damage if they are within 5km of a visible unit that is hit.
Also, invisible stealth units alone at a province center take damage from artillery hitting the province don't they? I'd assume they would from aerial bombardment also. Maybe the patrol mode is just special in this regard.
Important to know whether the navs are AI or human. AI are always omniscient, as far as I can tell, and frequently find a way to attack my higher-leveled subs with their lower-leveled navs.
If it's a human, they could have gotten a spy reveal (at day change or via gold).

By the way, I've never received damage from enemies other than case 2.
There is no such thing as it will be according to every level. There is a 50% chance that 3 level fighter can see 6 level submarine. You should add a half row of cruisers to it.
I really don't thinks so! It would be completly illogical. If you look into lvl3-fighter description. It says fighters will only detect the same level or below and they will only spot units in cities and regions on the ground.Shikato07 wrote:
