Question on Joint Human/AI players

On the diplomacy screen, under "Active Player," there is either a a little soldier head, a screen, or both.

What does it mean when both appears?

So the soldier head is an active player, the screen is controlled by the AI, and when they are both together is what happens when an active player becomes inactive so the AI is now controlling their country.

How long after a player becomes inactive (meaning, I guess, no longer issuing order, I guess) does AI tale over?

It takes 2 days of inactivity for a player to be declared inactive and the AI takes over.

I assume if the human player logs into the game after 2 days inactive he gets control back?

Correct. Unless the human player has also been removed from the game, in which case there is no getting control of his country again. Ever.

Slight clarification:

A player is declared inactive after two day changes without issuing any orders.

So if the player issues an order an hour after day change one day it will be 71 hours before the declaration of inactivity.

If the player issues the last order an hour before day change it can be only 25 hours until the declaration of inactivity.
