Reducing Your Providence Morale

Is there a way to reduce the morale of your own providences intentionally? I'm guessing not but am optimistic someone here knows more than I do.

I used to put gimped units in providences I thought would revolt with the hope the unit would join the revolt and I wouldn't have to pay upkeep anymore and it wouldn't count against my KD rate. Now that the revolt likelihood was changed, I feel like one of my favorite tricks was taken away from me.
