Restoring unit health

Maybe quicker to get answer here.

Say I have 10 navy bombers at 80% health. So I fly them to home airport/capital to sit there and recover health. Seems I get maybe 2% health restored a day.

Would I get to 100% quicker if I combined them with 10 navy bombers of same level at 100% health resulting in 20 bombers at 90%? Would I get those original beat up bombers to 100% in half the time?

Thanks 6thDragon. So since it is the same hitpoints lost the answer would be no. There is no way to speed up the healing short of gold.

So at day change my 10 bombers went from 679.7 HP to 704 HP out of 850 HP. So that is 4.3 HP out of 80.3 HP which is 5.3% instead of the 15%. It is in my new capital which isn't on my core territory. Is this expected?

That looks right to me. It's 15% of the damage taken, not total HP. In your case, 850 total HP and current amount would be 679.7 so total damage taken is 170.3. 15% of 170.3 is 25.5. 679.7 plus 25.5 is 705.2. Not exactly 15%, but pretty close.

might be a recently introduced bug.

HP should be restored by 1/7th every day change for troops on ANY province that you own.

You never really get them back to 100% since the recovery is based on damage taken instead of total HP. Merging the units is an option, but it really makes no difference with respect to the speed of the healing. You just have to decide if you want one stack at 80% and another at 100% or one big stack at 90%. You could then split them again and have two units at 90%.

Did another check with two damaged stacks,

both healed 1/7th of damage (within round off error)
