You automatically capture the province, if in centre snd undefended, if defended they fight.
If not in centre, they stay in place.
Tried an unsuccessful search, so apologies if answer is available.
Question: When an active player has granted you right of way, and you have units in their territory and wish to declare war, what will happen to your units? Do they remain in place or get pushed back to your borders? And if they are on an unoccupied province center, do you automatically capture?
Situation: A player had granted me right of way, then attacked a known ally (non-coalition) of mine. I wish to declare war but am curious about the 3 or 4 units currently near/on his unoccupied cities.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Thank you!
The only time your units "teleport" out of an area is when the map has a player peace period, and you're in a province when another player captures it. In that situation, your presence would be an act of war, but since war is not (yet) allowed the game pushes your units back into your own territory.
Who knew Iβd find the answer to this question so randomlyβ¦ finally!z00mz00m wrote:

That explains it
Ask and ye shall receive!
I remember lots of people were confused about this mechanic when it was first introduced. Lots of threads about the new "bug"z00mz00m wrote:
