Rocket Attack vs Anti Aircraft Guns... what factors are used

When launching a Rocket Level 2+ against a stack with Anti Aircraft guns,

what factor is used for the defense against the Rocket?

When launching rocket level 2 or more, the AA gun should be destroyed because it cannot shoot the rocket down. Nothing can, so you cannot defence against the rocket

The question was also what is the factor that is used to compare the Rocket Attack against the AA.

The AA has defense against Ground/Armor/Airplanes.

Does the Defense against Airplanes apply to an attack by Rockets?

the defense stats are for how much damage they can do max when attacked. Because level 2 and up rockets cannot be shot down the AA would do no damage against the rockets and thus no factors would take place for the AA, however the rockets would have the x-factor to deal with.

So I send a single level 2 rocket against a stack of 4 Anti Aircraft level 1 guns.

What are the average losses on the guns?

A single rocket isn't that strong against units. though with that being said you can't really give a good estimate of the average losses or damage, when the rocket hits it will land and can do 0% to 100% of the listed damage, add that one with any defence bonuses and the damage being spread out over the units and the province it's self it would be hard to give a good estimate.

it is my guess that, when you launch the level 2 rocket against 4 Anti-air guns, that the damage will be spread over the 4 units (with the factors dante bugler noted earlier) and you will lose about 20% HP from the stack, if there are no buildings or anything else in the province.

The easiest way to explain the defense numbers is by thinking of them as return fire numbers.

So when an airplane attacks an AA, the Airplane causes damage to the infantry units using their attack stats, and the AA returns fire on the airplane using the defense stats against planes.

Of course as mentioned above, the return fire / defense against planes does not matter with rockets higher than level 2, as they cannot be shot down.

Dude I have a really nice hack if you want to defend against a rocket.

Literally just move your troop away from that province. Rockets cannot hit moving targets.

Obviously that can destroy your buildings in that province/city but that can also be countered by building fortresses in vulnerable provinces.

Also try to not stack up your troops together a lotin later part of game as that makes it a lot more vulnerable to Rocket strikes of the opponent.

Rocket can hit moving target if they close enough.

Highly unlikely, because rockets are incredibly fast and units aren't. But if you try to move them when the rocket has 20 seconds till impact, your going to take damage. Rockets do 5km splash damage, for future reference.

Did you quote the wrong post? You meant this right?

I hit moving target twice when the target distance…cant measured it, but flying time is about 5 mins and 10 mins. In that game, I have plenty resources to build rockets and got some data.

Yes, as long as it is in range of the unit. You can see rocket range by looking at the unit stats
