no, they can't, they are made to destroy planes in a low range, but very fast
Rocket fighters: can they really shoot down nuclear rockets?
Hi guys, I've never used rocket fighters so I really don't know what they can do. Somebody told me that they can shot down even nuclear rockets, is it true? I'm asking this question because, if you check the info for nuclear rockets (and for "normal" rockets with a level higher than 1), it says "Cannot be intercepted", so it seems really strange to me.
I have more than 200 enemy troops close to my core provinces and there are 4 rocket fighters patroling above them so, before I start using nuclear rockets against them, I'd like to know if that's true.
PS I hope that my english is good enough

Here's the historical reality, as reflected in COW unit match-ups:
1. The Messerschmitt Me 163 Komet -- the world's first operational rocket fighter -- could exceed 620 miles per hour (~1,000 kmh) in level flight.
2. The V-2 -- the world's first operational ballistic missile -- had a terminal descent speed of almost 1,800 miles per hour (~2,900 kmh), and would be falling on its target at a nearly vertical angle.
For a jet or even a rocket fighter to successfully intercept a ballistic missile would be the equivalent of hitting a fast-moving rifle bullet with a slow-moving musket ball. In short, virtually impossible.
