Rocket vs. planes.

Is it something feasable? Can I rocket a bunch of planes in patrol? Or it won't work?

If I rocket a location where I have units and ennemy have units, do we both loose units?

1) No, rockets can only target planes on the surface (air base, sea convoy or truck), not when they are flying.

2) No, by some miracle rockets manage to only hit enemy targets.

Also, be aware that you will most likely miss if you target ground troops that are moving.

Thank you.

Did Rockets change since last September? I just watched two rockets hit my patrolling planes (naval bombers).

This is a dirty little secret: rockets can target patrolling planes in the air. And I don't mean the blowback from ground detonations of conventional rockets or the blast radius of nukes. It doesn't make any sense from a real world standpoint, but it works in game. Someone else raised this issue in the forum last year, I tried it, and it's true. Of course, if your patrolling aircraft are the target, and you see the incoming rockets, you can easily avoid the attack(s) by simply moving the patrol radius of your patrolling aircraft units. Once launched, the flight path of rockets cannot be changed, and they will land where they were sent, regardless of whether their target has moved.

Thanks. Good to know. Explains how i have been losing planes when I am sleeping.
