what is the splash damage of a nuclear bomber? for example there is a huge stack of AA in a Territory. if I were to nuke the adjacent territory, which is in close proximity to the stack of AA, how much damage will the AA take in splash damage?

The blast radius of all atomic weapons is 50 km, and will damage both your own and enemy units within that area.
For reference standard artillery radius ranges from 60 to 80 km depending on the level researched, so use that as a guide.
In my experience, any single units within the blast radius are completely consumed. Large stacks have a chance to survive with heavy damage.

Thanks for the answer.......it was very useful. I wish I could have seen the look on their face as their uber stack just melted.

Wasn't that uber I guess since anti-air would have shot down your nuclear bomber before it could go boom. That is the reason for having plenty of anti-air/SP anti-air around as soon as you see a nuclear power plant somewhere on the map.

Well yes, but the key to atomic bomber success is proper target selection coupled with the knowledge above about the 50 km blast radius.

Exactly.........
Took down a Naval Stack that was right on the coast of 12 Lvl 4 Destroyers, 2 Lvl Crusisers, 2 Lv 1 BB and 2 Lvl1 Carriers the same way. They were joking about how the nukes were bombing a totally empty territory. Took 3 Bombers but they all completed their mission. Have to time it right.

I am aware of the blast radius of atomic weapons. A fun and unexpected trick is to have a coalition member drive up to the 'monster stack' with 1 or very few units (few (SP)anti-air). Depending on enemy plane and artillery activity of course.
Have said member leave the coalition when his troops are close to the big enemy division, declare war on your former coalition member and aim for his troops close by. The big enemy division will get caught in the blast. It is wise to console with your said member before doing this though.. Make peace after the boom.
You can also give units to your enemy as a present. Target them when they get accepted and are close to your target. Has a smaller succes rate then the trick mentioned before since the enemy can control this unit and do something unexpected.
Or blast an empty province center near the enemy division. Beware though, within a 5 km radius their (SP)anti-air will still defend.
