When the 163 was made, it had one run at a bomber. It turned terribly. It is the ultimate boom and zoom plane.
Mess with the Bill, you get the scorn!
Hello all,
The rocket interceptor has 15 for attack and 8 for defense against planes. My question is: How does that work exactly?
You cant 'attack' planes after all, just patrolling. Unless the attack stats sole purpose is for grounded planes, something I find hard to believe.
What am I missing?

Im guessing you dont know the answer then?
Who does?
You can attack planes, is that's what you meant.
Sort of. Follow up question then, how do you attack planes? I only know of the circling method, and as far as I know that counts as defense. Or are there 2 seperate battle instances when 2 circling planes are fighting which happen the same time?
Just very curious here to find out any (hidden) uses for the rocket fighter
Click the attack button after clicking on the unit itself. Then select the unit within range that you want to attack.
That does not seem to work (well, not here anyway), if you want to attack a patrolling plane.
What am I doing wrong?
you can attack planes, no matter if they are in flight or grounded , your fighter will track and follow them
I don't know what you are doing wrong. I seem to find that int often go AWOL when fighting.
Well, guess Im having a try in a game of mine then to see how things pan out of I give it a little more....stubborn attention. Im still unsure whether I should build them in that frantic PL game of ours. They have their use after all - assuming I can indeed 'force attack'. Defensively I could just as well get more regular planes (and they do it better)
I wouldn't advise using them in our game. Range is tiny.
Well, he is playing Germany.Butter Ball Bill wrote:

Although triple B must be as trustworthy as thy come, I will concur that fighters can indeed be selected and told to attack planes directly. For myself, I am still wondering whether it is better to stage 'direct' attacks or allow planes to patrol potential targets.....situation dependent certainly....but I am happy to hear other's experiences.
1: You can attack 4 times every 15 minutes at reduced strength in patrol mode. (25% strength to be specific).
2: You can attack while traveling to a certain location.
3: You can attack by clicking on your plane and selecting a target. It will track it, attack, and return to base. Then rinse, wash, repeat until other orders are given, the enemy unit is destroyed, or yours.
4: Your unit can attack while returning from a location, if a enemy unit crosses it's path.
I.E, time your units going across a certain location(Across enemy air units), and you can hit them.

Rocket Interceptors? Nothing secret. They are just a buffed/Nerfed Interceptor that is expensive. Very.
