if i remember correctly, defeated nations don't remove morale, are you sure that you're losing that extra morale?
Still at war with a defeted country with Zero Provinces
Hi all, New to the game.
Two days ago Greater Finland was defeated. No more provinces left in the diplomacy screen
My diplomacy still shows me at war. This adds another -5 to my morale. It is hard to fighting a two front war when one of the countries no longer exists. Plus it is difficult to manage the -15 morale hit.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Gunner

An AI nation disappears from diplomacy when it has no more provinces.
A player's nation does not disappear and the status of that nation remains hostile against anyone who was at this time in war with her.
But that has no longer impact on morale and is also no longer shown in the influence of the provinces.
In both cases, maybe leftover units stay hostile.
And as long a player has units, even if he has lose all provinces, he can continue playing and try to conquer provinces back.

That is the answer. Once an enemy country loses its last province, it ceases to have any negative effect on the morale of your provinces. However, any enemy orphan units will remain in a technical state of war and will automatically engage in battle if you bump into them. In fact, you should be careful of orphan naval units of defeated AI countries, because they will continue to move and attack your naval units and ground unit convoys moving by sea.Restrisiko wrote:
