Take'n Provinces

I see a player that is taking Provinces fast. I am think'n at least part of his strategy is to have provinces rebel. Is it possible that this is his main strategy?

2 if the player is doing this how can he/she be focusing on one direction?

He could be doing a bit of a 'hellride' where the idea is not to actually hold any land but to ruin his opponents economy and force him to scatter his troops to defend multiple provinces. So, yes, this could be his plan and it is viable. Letting the lands rebel can make sense for a number of reasons. Again, loss of economic ability as well as the province may go to a neutral party.

As for how one can focus in one direction? You only have to look at your own positions to ascertain the how. Coastal regions and especially the edges of the map lend security. Bordering AI nations. Allies or at least players with whom this player in question has a non-aggression-pact(a player made agreement-not one dictated by actual game function.) will of course also allow one to concentrate their forces in one area.

Or madness. Plenty of players gather up all they have and attack whomever is close at hand which is nearly always a good way to get knocked out of a round if you don't have any of the 'securities' I mentioned in place.

I hate it when that happens, I mass forces in provinces adjacent to each other and wait for him to hit one.

British=best. Duh!

thanx for the heads up.

...so how is this guy doing this?

I dont see how I can go against this without doing the same as him. his resources must be huge #'s and he builds like crazy!

This guy has an other player teaming with him..so looks like I am out.

The other guy is using the same strategy...or its the same guy on 2 accounts.

dont get it I am in an other game and an other player that is weak has a core province that wasnt his at the start of the game too.I

People make allies and although I have run across multi-account users, I assume it's just an ally. Better to give the benefit of a doubt. Before giving up, reach out to other players in your round to see if they will join you.

mm looks like it is 2 ppl.

I just dont understand how does a player get a province to become a core province in less than a day?

I think I get what you are seeing, but I am unsure of what you mean by core. Core provinces, by strict definition are ONLY those that a nation starts a round with. There is no way, at this point in the history of CoW, to change non-core to core. However, you are perhaps referring to newly taken lands reaching a high morale? Three ways for this to happen.

Time; at day change provinces gain morale unless under attack or they have enemy troops sitting within their borders, or there is a lack of resources.

Capture of an enemy capital; this gives a boost to ALL provinces.

Gold; One can buy morale boosts among other things.

ohh wow I guess each round depends on which provence goes to which country...I thought every game was the same.

No. The layout is always the same(not counting different maps of course.).

hmm
