Team games

I think that when you are playing a team game and your ally goes inactive, they should automatically leave the team so they can be attacked

Could this work and can this be part of CoW?

In team games, the team total is used for victory determination. If you did this, you would incur 75% production penalty and loose all their points until you reconquered. The flip side is you have the normal AI running their country. imo the way to improve team play when a member goes inactive, would be to have player countries be controlled by the elite AI.

The whole point of what I'm trying to say is that the inactive players shouldn't stop the others from gaining extra points seeing as they are inactive, they will not get the points anyway

i thought this was Questions and Answers section, not suggestions

My understanding is you will get the points whether your team mate is active or not, for the purpose of determining the winning team.

When a team game is over, does everybody in the team get the same amount of gold as their team has points or does everybody get however many gold they (just them, not their team) had points?

just them

That's the problem, players are losing the points which they could have gained because the inactive players are earning them

that's not a problem, who wins is the team, not the individual player

note: in a team-game you are supposed to play to win, not to play for win gold

Given the level of gold payouts in conjunction with the high point totals needed to win, I am very happy to give up 50 to 100 gold for the extra points an inactive Allie can provide. That is one less week I have to spend mopping up and is well worth the slightly reduced gold payout.
