Time needed to move the capital city

I'm playing my first game after several months of inactivity. I've decided to move my capital elsewhere because of my expansion and I had to wait 12 hours before I could see the little flag moving in the new city. If I remember well, in the past it took just a few minutes to move the capital to another province/city (like 20-30 minutes or so) even if the construction was still going...did they change how this thing work?

Yes they changed it because people would continue to move their capital

Thanks! Well, it's not really a wise change in my opinion but I can understand why they did it.

Read the news about updates recently. Capital will now only be moved when construction is finished.

This goes along with the planning ahead aspect of the game. Nothing else happens in minutes, except a level 1 fishing dock (naval base)

You forgot to mention a lvl 1 barracks XD

Oh yes, The armed forces recruiting office can erect a tent in the town square in a minute and a half. How could I forget?
