Transfer gold to another account

well that is the point. I am actually buying gold and want to transfer it to a friend's account. So is it possible or not? Thank you.

If there is a way to directly transfer gold to another player's account, I am unaware of it.

However, you can use gold to accelerate an ally's unit production or building construction, or improve the condition of an ally's units, in the same way you would your own. If you have a "shared map" or "shared intelligence" relationship with an ally, you will be able to view the dialog boxes for your ally's industrial centers and unit stacks, and you will have the option of accelerating unit production or building construction, or improving unit morale, with gold.

It is impossible to gift gold to other players. This is something that could be posted in suggestions forum nevertheless, this might be a good idea of people being able to buy gold gifts to each others.
