Troops changing nation at day change?

Hi.

First off, I'm a fairly experienced player at level 99, soon 100, and I think I got the general know how of how things work in the game, so hear me out on this one, because it was news to me.

I'm currently in a 1.5 Pacific Conquest game, playing as Queensland. South Western Australia is a coalition member of mine, and we've taken over Australia. The last push i did last night secured me Wyndham and a few other provinces, all of the provinces were at 25% morale, and were risking uprisings. In a (to me) logical way of countering uprisings in the provinces with low morale, I placed troops in each and everyone of the provinces to safeguard them until day change. When the day change occured, suddenly I had lost Wyndham and Halls Creek to my ally in South Western Australia, which can happen I am aware, obviously - but i truly tried to stop this from happening! And as if that wasn't enough, the troops I had placed in those provinces changed nation and are now under his control. I've never seen this before, is this really working as intended? Seems very, excuse my language, fucking stupid to me.

It's not that I don't want my ally to thrive, but the game fucked me over bigtime. I'm the dominant player there right now and i need every unit I have, especially early game. The provinces can be traded back later on, but the units are forever lost. Again, is this really working as intended? Is there really no way of countering uprisings, at. all?! Because if there isn't, there really should be one save for panic-building propaganda offices or using p2w tactics and gold increase morale and hoping for the best. It makes no sense to me that even with a heavy troop presence I can't control uprisings, and even less so losing control of my own troops to an ally!

Edit; I've read the guide to revolts, and yes it seems to be the way things are. However I'd rather lose my troops in a rebellion than having someone else control them, even IF it's an ally! And yes my troops were placed in the province center.

Henceforth i will never stay in a newly captured province with any troops whatsoever, seems to be the only safe thing to do. It is a truly, beyond stupid game mechanic and it should be removed completely.

it's working correctly, idk if it was intended, but i know it does happen, and quite frankly it was good that the troops didnt rebel to your enemies

We have no enemies left in Australia. Even so, the other player isn't very active and should have lower influence in the country in general. It still is a retarded game mechanic and shouldn't be happening at all. If anything, the troops should be overpowered in the uprising and die as a result. THAT makes sense, especially if you're the dominant player, the chances of desertion should be close to zero! I mean, at least give us the option to execute deserters if there is more than one unit in the province!

And to be honest, IF the troops do change nation to an ally, there should be an option to trade them back just like you can do with provinces!

this feature can allow for account pushing, so against tos

I get troops like this

I have a solution for you. Just put 2-3 troops in every city. Don't worry about other provinces. Just put enough troops until it says that you have 0% chance of revolt. The provinces don't really matter. Only the cities matter if they rebel. You don't need to put troops in every province because that would be a waste. Provinces can't produce troops, while cities actually can.

This is working as intended.

On province morale you will see the chance of a province revolting and then if it does revolt then the units there can die or join the country that the province joined.

You can easily counter this by taking a capital last and keeping units there as the capital will increase morale and the units in the capital will make the chance of revolt 0, alternatively you can place a few units (probably militia) in the province.

Another way to counter this is if you are at war with a country and you are advancing into their land and so they will probably revolt, you can place a unit outside of the province center and when they revolt you just take it back within a few minutes as you left no units there and they do not have enough time to build units (unless it is gold).
