Here is a question for those of you that know the game mechanics better than me.
When I give a unit orders to go to multiple locations in sequence, what does the enemy see when they view this unit?
I know looking at an invading unit you can see where they are going, I’m just not sure how much of the full picture you get.
I had my spies recently get me an opponent’s troop locations and it showed me where they were going. When I sent my ships to intercept, I found it interesting that in real time I only got a small snapshot compared to what my spies gave me at day change.
I ask because I’ve been cautious about letting an enemy see too much of my plans. Knowing they can see less would give me confidence to plan more than one step ahead when confronting an active player.

The enemy can't see any further than one way point. They cannot know in which direction you go after that waypoint.
Spies can intercept a part of your army information, sometimes everything. Still that is only a snapshot at day change and any changes made afterwards will not be visible.
also Planes get a cheesey way to dupe the system and units spotted by planes have the same effects as spies, revealing the entire movement orders

That was a long time ago, are you sure that's still the case? Small detail only planes on patrol do that.
Thanks for the confirmation! One lesson to take away from this is there is a benefit to using as many waypoints as possible to minimize what the enemy sees. That can certainly be time consuming but possibly worth it.
